Getting Started With My Small Business’ App

Have a small business and you’re looking to bring more traffic to your store? A mobile app can be a great tool to drum up business for your business!  In this article we’ll go over some great features that can help you make more revenue through a mobile app and improve interaction between you and your customers.

What Are Some Great Features To Use In Your Business’ App?

When you’re first navigating through our system, it can be a bit daunting thanks to the vast possibilities of what can be done with your app. That's why we’ve put together a list of some features that you can start off with which we feel will help get you on the right path to creating an amazing app for your online business.

What Features Can I Use To Bring Customers Into My Business?

The main point of creating an app for your business is to bring customers into your business and to maintain consistent revenue throughout the year. In our system we have a some great features that help you accomplish this!

First things first, people need to know where you’re located. Have multiple locations? The Places 2.0 feature is a great way to show people all of your business’ locations and contact information. Have a single location? If that’s the case, then we recommend using the Contact Us feature which allows you to include your physical address as well as different ways to get in contact with you.

Along with showing people where you’re located, you can encourage repeat visits with our Coupon and Loyalty features. With the Coupon feature you can offer one-time or multiple use coupons year-round, and out Loyalty feature was created with business loyalty programs in mind, so it’s the perfect feature to encourage your customers to shop on a regular basis!

Do you have periodic sales and events at your business? With the Events Manual and Events Feed features you inform your customers about upcoming events. The Events Manual Feature allows you to manually input events into the in-app calendar via the App Dashboard, while the Event Feed Feature allows you to add events to the in-app calendar by syncing it with an iCal link.

Along with these great features, another one that you might consider including in your app is our Image Gallery feature which is a quick and easy way to showcase featured items, new items, or examples of your work and services in your app.

Have social media pages? You can bring your Facebook page into the app with our Facebook feature, Twitter page with our Twitter feature, and Instagram page with our WebView feature. This allows you to bring all of your social media pages into one place making them more easily accessible for your customers.

Another great way to reach out to your customers is through Push Notifications. With our system you have complete control over your notifications. You can send out scheduled notifications, create notification groups that deal with specific topics that users can subscribe to, as well as set up automatic notifications. We also have the GeoFence feature that allows you to send out locations-based notifications. Have a sales event coming up in a couple of days? You can set up a notification to trigger whenever someone gets within a certain distance of your store which can remind them of the upcoming sale.

Along With My Physical Business, I Have An Online Store. Are There Any Features That Allow Me To Bring It Into My App?

If you have a Shopify store, our Shopify Ecommerce feature is the perfect feature for you. It only requires you to input the store name of your Shopify account in order to integrate it into your app. The app will auto-populate your entire inventory into the feature, leaving you to simply select one of several design layout options to organize your products. If you don’t have a Shopify account, feel free to sign up for an account here.

Alternatively, if you have a WordPress page with a WooCommerce store, you can use our WooCommerce feature to bring your online store into your app. While it is more complex than Shopify, it may be the perfect solution for you depending on what you’re looking to accomplish in your online store. If you would like to learn more about WooCommerce, you can do so here.

If you’d rather link directly to your store — no sweat. Our system has a solution for that too and it’s our WebView feature. Just copy-paste your store link into the feature and your users will be one tap away from accessing your site within the app.

Note: If you decide to use the WebView feature, you will need to make sure it’s set to “Device’s Default” browser in order to make sure your app adheres to Apple and Google’s guidelines pertaining to selling physical products in the app.

What Are Some Features That Can Help Me Interact With My Customers?

Bringing in repeat revenue may be the main focus of your app, but maintaining steady interaction with your customers is integral to doing so.  With our Social Wall feature you can chat with your customers and it gives them a great format to communicate with each other about your products.

You can also give customers the ability to leave great reviews for your business with our Customer Feedback feature, and our Share App feature is a great way for your customers to share your app with others growing your installation base organically!

These are just a small handful of features that you can use in your app to help you make more revenue through your mobile app and improve interaction between you and your customers. We have many more features  in our system, and we encourage you to check out all of the amazing features that we offer so that you can make the best app for your group or organization.
