One of our most versatile plugins is the WebView Plugin. Basically, it allows for pretty much any website or link to open up in your app (instead of taking your users outside of the app).
If you were looking to open up a PDF file within your app, the best way to do that would be through Dropbox.
First, you’ll have to add a WebView plugin.
How to create a WebView Plugin Instance
First, create a new WebView Plugin instance by following these steps:
Step 1: Go to “Add New Plugin” in the left menu under “Plugins”
Step 2: Search for "Web" in the search bar
Step 3: Click "Add" next to the plugin
Step 4: Give your new plugin instance a title
Step 5: Click "Add"
**NOTE** The plugin will not automatically be enabled on your app. To learn how to enable it, you can find out more information HERE.
How to link your Dropbox file to your WebView Plugin
Step 1: Go to Dropbox and click on the Share button next to the file you’d like to link to.
Step 2: Copy the link.
Step 3: In your app dashboard, paste the Dropbox link where it says URL then click validate.
Note: A check mark should appear on the preview screen to the right.
We’re almost done! The Dropbox WebView plugin exists within your app but it’s not accessible yet since we haven’t added a plugin instance anywhere yet; we’ve only created a plugin instance.
How to enable your plugin instance (aka how to make it accessible) in your app
If you didn't create your plugin inside of a Folder Plugin or inside the Side Menu, the plugin will not automatically be enabled on your app. To learn how to enable it, you can find out more information HERE
