How to use the Acknowledgment plugin

Send important messages that users must read, acknowledge, and optionally sign.

The Acknowledgment plugin lets you deliver critical information to users and require confirmation that it has been read and understood. It is commonly used for waivers, policies, internal updates, safety notices, and time-sensitive communications. You can target specific users, require signatures, set deadlines, and track confirmations.

How to use the Acknowledgment plugin

  1. Log in, go to Builder in the left navigation

  2. Click the + button to open the Plugin Marketplace

    • Search for Acknowledgment

    • Click Add Plugin, name your plugin, then click Add

  3. Stay in the Content tab

    • Click Add New to create a new acknowledgment

    • Choose who should receive the acknowledgment

      1. Select All Users, By Tag, or a Custom audience

    • Enter the acknowledgment title

    • Add the acknowledgment message using the WYSIWYG editor

    • (Optional) Add a required action users must complete before confirming

      1. For example, link to a questionnaire, document, or another plugin

    • (Optional) Turn on Require Signature to collect a digital signature

    • (Optional) Turn on Confirmation Deadline and select the required date

    • (Optional) Turn on Send Later to schedule when the acknowledgment is sent

    • (Optional) Adjust Active Status to control whether unconfirmed acknowledgments remain visible

    • Click Save to publish the acknowledgment

    • (Optional) Click the clock icon to add a reminder

      1. Select a reminder time

      2. The reminder displays until the confirmation deadline

      3. Click Confirm to save

  4. To test it out, in the App Preview:

    • Log in if required

    • Open the acknowledgment

    • Review the message content

    • Check the confirmation box

    • Add a signature if enabled

    • Tap Confirm to complete the acknowledgment

  5. Click the Security tab

    • Turn on Require Login to restrict access to logged-in users

    • (Optional) Add tag-based restrictions and choose whether to match any or all tags

  6. Click the Tagging tab

    • Enter a tag name to apply to users when they open this plugin

    • Click Add Tag

  7. Click the Purchase tab

    • Check Require Purchase to gate access behind a purchase or subscription

  8. Click the Analytics tab to view acknowledgment views, confirmations, and user activity

  • Require signatures for legal notices and waivers

  • Combine tags and reminders to increase completion rates
