The Google Forms plugin lets you display forms created on the Google Forms platform inside your app. This is useful for surveys, registrations, or other data collection, while leveraging the convenience of Google’s ecosystem.

Requirements

  • This is a Boost plugin, available on the Standard, Growth, and Scale plans.

  • An active Google account with a published Google Form.

  • The Google Form link:

    • Go to your Google Form.

    • Make sure the form is published and accessible by link.

    • Copy the Responder Link from the share options.

How to use the Google Forms plugin

  1. Log in, go to Builder in the left navigation.

  2. Click the + button to open the Plugin Marketplace:

    1. Search for Google Forms, then click Add Plugin.

    2. Name your plugin (e.g., “Event Registration”) and click Add.

  3. Stay in the Content tab.

    1. Paste the copied link into the URL field.

    2. Click Validate to confirm the form is linked successfully.

    3. Note: The emulator will not display the Google Form, but it will appear correctly in the live app.

  4. Click the Security tab:

    1. Turn on Require Login to restrict feature access to logged-in users.

    2. (Optional) Add tag-based restrictions and choose whether to match any or all tags.

  5. Click the Tagging tab:

    1. Enter a tag name to automatically apply to users when they open this feature.

    2. Click Add Tag.

  6. Click the Purchase tab:

    1. Check Require Purchase to enable.

    2. Choose your product type (e.g., Single Purchase or Subscription).

    3. Upload an image, fill out purchase text, and success/failure messages.

  7. Click the Analytics tab to see feature performance:

    1. View data such as number of views, users, and devices over time.

Pro tips

  • Google Forms controls all aspects of the form: questions, design, and settings. Your app only embeds the form inside the app.

  • Always double-check the form’s share settings in Google Forms—users must be able to access it via link.

Use tagging in your app to track who opens the form, even though responses remain in Google Forms.
