How to use the Task Tracker plugin

Track and manage daily employee tasks with the Task Tracker plugin. Employees can log activities, start and submit shifts, and admins can review detailed reports for performance tracking.

The Task Tracker plugin helps employers monitor work completed during the day by allowing team members to start and end shifts while selecting activities they’ve performed. Admins can customize available activities, export reports, and control access settings for better workflow management.

  • This is a Boost plugin, available on the Standard, Growth, and Business plans.


How to use the Task Tracker plugin

  1. Log in, go to Builder in the left navigation

  2. Click the + button to open the Plugin Marketplace

    • Search for Task Tracker, then click Add Plugin

    • Name your feature and choose whether to add it to the side menu, then click Add again

  3. On the Content tab:

    • Add activities that employees can select during their shifts

      1. Click Add Activity and enter a name such as “Calibration” or “Inventory Update”

      2. Repeat as needed for all relevant tasks

    • On the Reports section:

  • Admins can filter and export performance data for 30, 60, or 90 days.

  • Click Export CSV to download detailed reports of employee shifts and activities.

  1. To try it out, in the App Preview:

    • Click the calendar to select the day

    • Click Start Shift

    • Select one or more activities they performed during the day

    • When finished, click Submit Shift to log their work

    • A confirmation message will appear confirming their submission

  2. On the Design tab:

    • Check off Use Custom Colors to change the button colour

      1. Click into the Color Box

  3. On the Settings tab:

    • Toggle Allow Multiple Activity Entries ON or OFF

      1. When ON, users can select multiple activities within a single shift

      2. When OFF, only one activity can be logged per shift

    • Modify verbiage fields to match your company’s preferred terms

  4. Click the Security tab:

    • Turn on Require Login to restrict access to logged-in users

    • (Optional) Add tag-based restrictions and choose whether to match any or all tags

  5. Click the Tagging tab:

    • Enable automatic tagging for users when they open or use the plugin

    • Enter a tag name and click Add Tag

  6. Click the Purchase tab:

    • Check Require Purchase to enable

    • Choose your product type (e.g., Single Purchase or Subscription)

    • Upload an image, fill out purchase text, and success/failure messages

  7. Click the Analytics tab to see feature performance:

    • Track total shifts submitted, task activity frequency, and engagement over time

  • Use this plugin to monitor employee productivity, attendance, or task completion in real time.

  • Encourage workers to submit shifts promptly for accurate tracking.

  • Use CSV exports for payroll, project management, or compliance reporting.

  • Enable “Allow Multiple Activity Entries” for jobs involving varied daily tasks.
