How to use the Mortgage Estimator plugin

The Mortgage Estimator plugin lets users quickly estimate their monthly payments by entering basic information such as home value, down payment, interest rate, and loan term. It’s a simple, interactive tool that helps users plan their budgets and make informed financial decisions.

How to use the Mortgage Estimator plugin

  1. Log in, go to Builder in the left navigation

  2. Click the + button to open the Plugin Marketplace

    • Search for Mortgage Estimator, then click Add Plugin

    • Name your plugin (e.g., “Home Loan Calculator”) and click Add

  3. Click the Content tab:

    • Add text, titles, or images in the WYSIWYG editor to provide instructions or context for users

    • Use this area to explain how to fill out the estimator (e.g., “Enter home value, down payment, and interest rate to calculate your monthly payment.”)

  4. Test the calculator:

    • Enter a home value

    • Choose down payment input type (either amount or percentage)

    • Enter the annual interest rate and loan term (in years)

    • (Optional) Add a property tax percentage

    • Click Calculate to view the estimated monthly payment

    • Switch between amount and percentage modes to see dynamic updates

  5. Click the Design tab:

    • You can modify visual elements like corner radius, spacing, or typography to match your app’s theme
      (Optional) Enable Advanced Mode to access layout CSS and customize the appearance

  6. Click the Security tab:

    • Turn on Require Login to restrict access to logged-in users

    • (Optional) Add tag-based restrictions to limit access to certain user groups

  7. Click the Tagging tab:

    • Enable tagging to automatically assign a tag each time a user opens this feature

    • This helps you track which users interact with the estimator

  8. Click the Purchase tab:

    • Check Require Purchase to enable a paywall

    • Choose your product type (e.g., Single Purchase or Subscription)

    • Upload an image, fill out purchase text, and success/failure messages

  9. Click the Analytics tab to view feature performance:

    • Track how users interact with the estimator, including how often it’s used

  10. Click the Language tab:

  • Edit or translate default labels and messages to adjust terminology to match your app’s language and audience


Pro tips

  • Keep your WYSIWYG intro short and clear—include one example calculation so users understand how it works.

  • For real estate or finance apps, pair this plugin with features like Contact Form or Appointment Booking for lead generation.
