The Notes plugin lets users create and manage personal notes within your app. Each note is private and tied to the individual user's login. Users can format text, add images, and organize their notes in a simple, streamlined interface.
Requirements
This is a Boost plugin, available on the Standard, Growth, and Scale plans.
Users must be logged in to create and view notes.
How to use the Notes plugin
Log in, go to Builder in the left navigation.
Click the + button at the top left to open the Plugin Marketplace.
Search for Notes, then click Add Plugin.
Name your plugin and choose whether to add it to the side menu, then click Add.
Click the Security tab:
Turn on Require Login to restrict access to logged-in users.
(Optional) Add tag-based restrictions and choose whether to match any or all tags.
Click the Tagging tab:
Add behavioral tags that apply when a user opens this feature.
Click the Purchase tab:
Turn on Require Purchase to enable.
Choose your product type (e.g., Single Purchase or Subscription).
Upload an image, fill out purchase details, and add success/failure messages.
Click the Analytics tab:
View usage data such as daily views, and top users.
Click the Language tab:
Customize default terms and phrases such as "Search Notes" and "Empty State".
Pro tips
To test it out in the preview, make sure you are logged in, and then click the + icon to create a new note.
The Search bar at the top of the plugin allows users to search within their saved notes.
Each note is saved to the individual user profile—no one else can see it.
Troubleshooting tips
If the note editor isn't appearing, confirm the user is logged in.
If image uploads aren’t working, check image size and format compatibility.
If the plugin is locked, verify that purchase or tag settings are configured correctly.
