The Educational Game plugin allows you to turn lessons into engaging space-themed missions where users pilot a spaceship and answer multiple-choice questions to advance. Correct answers earn “shots” against enemy ships, while wrong or delayed answers cause the player to take damage. This plugin is ideal for learning apps, schools, or children’s games that blend education and entertainment.

Requirements

  • This is a Maximize plugin, available on specific plans only.

How to use the Educational Game plugin

  1. Log in, go to Builder in the left navigation

  2. Click the + button to open the Plugin Marketplace

    1. Search for Educational Game, then click Add Plugin

    2. Name your feature (example: Math Adventure) and choose whether to add it to the side menu, then click Add again

  3. On the Content tab:

    1. Click Add Level to begin setting up your game

      1. Enter a Level Name (e.g., Math Level 1)

      2. Set the Computer Strength — this determines how much health the player loses for a wrong answer

        1. For beginner levels, set a lower value (e.g., 25)

        2. For advanced levels, increase the value (e.g., 50)

      3. Set the Computer Attack Delay — the time before the enemy strikes if the player doesn’t answer

        1. For easier levels, choose a longer delay (e.g., 18 seconds)

        2. For harder levels, use a shorter delay (e.g., 10 seconds)

      4. Add a Checkpoint to save player progress. This prevents users from restarting from Level 1 if they lose near the end of the game

      5. Click Add Level to save

    2. Add questions to your level:

      1. Click the + icon next to your new level

      2. Enter a Question (e.g., 1 + 1 = ?)

      3. Add 2–4 answer choices

      4. Select the Correct Answer

      5. Repeat this process to add additional questions for the same level

    3. Add more levels:

      1. Click Add Level again and increase the difficulty by:

        1. Raising the Computer Strength (e.g., 50)

        2. Reducing the Attack Delay (e.g., 10 seconds)

      2. Add more challenging questions for each new level

  4. Click Play Game to test your setup:

    1. Correct answers keep your health steady and damage the enemy

    2. Wrong or delayed answers reduce your health based on Computer Strength

  5. Click the Security tab:

    1. Turn on Require Login to restrict access to logged-in users

    2. (Optional) Add tag-based restrictions and choose whether to match any or all tags

  6. Click the Tagging tab:

    1. Enter a tag name to automatically apply to users when they open this feature.

    2. Click Add Tag

  7. Click the Purchase tab:

    1. Check Require Purchase to enable

    2. Choose your product type (e.g., Single Purchase or Subscription)

    3. Upload an image, fill out purchase text, and success/failure messages

  8. Click the Analytics tab to see feature performance:

    1. View data such as number of plays, user engagement, and level completion rates
