How to set up the Flashcards plugin

Help users learn and retain information with digital flashcards. Create decks, add front and back content, and customize quiz options.

The Flashcards plugin lets you create custom decks of cards to help users study and test their knowledge. Each flashcard has a front and back side and can include text, images, and optional quiz modes.


Requirements:

  • This is a Boost plugin, available on the Standard, Growth, and Scale plans.


How to set up the Flashcards plugin

  1. Log in, go to Builder in the left navigation.

  2. Click the + button at the top left to open the Plugin Marketplace:

    1. Search for Flashcards, then click Add Plugin.

    2. Name your plugin and choose whether to add it to the side menu, then click Add.

  3. Stay in the Content tab:

    1. Choose to show your flashcards as a list or not.

    2. Click Add Card to create your first flashcard.

    3. Add content to the Front and Back of the card.

      1. You can include text, images, and formatting.

      2. Click Save Card.

    4. Repeat to add more cards.

    5. You can adjust the order of the cards by drag and drop, along with edit any existing cards by clicking the pencil icon.

  4. Click the Design tab

    1. You can add a background image, adjust the image’s opacity, select a background color, and a front title text color.

  5. Click the Security tab (Optional):

    1. Turn on Require Login to restrict access to logged-in users.

    2. (Optional) Add tag-based restrictions and choose whether to match any or all tags.

  6. Click the Tagging tab:

    1. Enter a tag name to automatically apply to users when they open this feature.

    2. Click Add Tag.

  7. Click the Purchase tab:

    1. Check Require Purchase to enable.

    2. Choose your product type (e.g., Single Purchase or Subscription).

    3. Upload an image, add purchase text, and configure success/failure messages.

  8. Click the Analytics tab to see feature performance.

    1. View data such as number of views, users, and devices over time.


Troubleshooting tips

  • If cards aren’t saving, make sure both sides of the card include content and that you’ve clicked Save.

  • If the plugin isn’t visible in the app, check that the deck contains at least one saved card.

  • If a purchase is required but not triggering, confirm product setup in the Purchase tab.
