The Customer Feedback plugin lets users leave star ratings and comments, while giving app owners the ability to review, reply, and manage those submissions.

It’s ideal for restaurants, service businesses, or community apps that want to gather feedback privately within the app. Only the submitting user and the admin can view each feedback thread, keeping responses one-on-one.

Requirements

  • This is a Boost plugin, available on specific plans only.

  • User login enabled for submitting feedback

How to use the Customer Feedback plugin

  1. Log in, go to Builder in the left navigation

  2. Click the + button to open the Plugin Marketplace

    • Search for Customer Feedback, then click Add Plugin

    • Name your plugin (e.g., “Feedback & Reviews”) and click Add

  3. Stay in the Content tab:

    • Add introductory text, images, or buttons in the WYSIWYG editor.

    • Use formatting options like bold, color, or alignment to style your message

    • This section appears to users before they leave feedback

  4. To test it out:

    • As an app user:

      1. click the + icon to leave feedback

      2. Select a star rating (1–5)

      3. Add a written comment (e.g., “Great food, but slow service”)

      4. Click Save, then Submit to post the review

    • As an admin, view all submitted reviews from your dashboard

      1. See the user’s rating, comment, date, and average rating

      2. Click Delete Review to remove a comment

      3. Click Show Comments to reply directly to a user’s feedback thread

      4. Both admin and user can exchange replies within the same comment thread

  5. In the Design tab:

    • Add a background image and click Insert Image (use correct app dimensions for best fit)

    • (Optional) Enable Advanced Mode to customize layout with CSS — proceed carefully, as incorrect code may affect display

  6. Click the Security tab:

    • Turn on Require Login to restrict feature access to logged-in users.

    • (Optional) Add tag-based restrictions and choose whether to match any or all tags.

  7. Click the Tagging tab:

    • Enter a tag name to automatically apply to users when they open this feature.

    • Click Add Tag.

  8. Click the Purchase tab:

    • Check Require Purchase to enable.

    • Choose your product type (e.g., Single Purchase or Subscription).

    • Upload an image, fill out purchase text, and success/failure messages.

  9. Click the Analytics tab to see feature performance:

    • View data such as number of views, users, and devices over time.

Pro tips

  • Keep responses friendly and professional—users are more likely to stay engaged when feedback feels acknowledged.

  • Use tags to identify users who have submitted feedback for future segmentation or rewards.
