You can use Zapier to automate user registration in your app. This is helpful when collecting user data from external platforms like Google Sheets, CRMs, or email tools—and instantly creating accounts inside your app without manual input.

Requirements

  • You must request a Zapier API key from our support, contact us before getting started.

  • You will need to accept our Support invite to see "app name" as an Action.

  • A Zapier account and a source (e.g., Typeform, Google Sheets, HubSpot).

How to register a user using Zapier

  1. In Zapier, click + Create Zap

  2. Select your Trigger app (e.g., Google Sheets or Typeform)

    1. Choose the event that will trigger the registration (e.g., New Row or New Submission)

    2. Click Continue and connect your trigger app account

    3. Set up the trigger by mapping your fields and test the connection

  3. For the Action, search for and select "app name"

    1. Choose Register as User as the action event

    2. Under Account, click Select, click + Connect a new account

    3. Enter the API key (provided by our Support team)

    4. Click Continue

  4. Under Data, map the required fields

    1. email: User’s email address

    2. password: A secure password

    3. displayName: (Optional) Preferred display name

    4. firstName: (Optional) First name

    5. lastName: (Optional) Last name

  5. Test your Zap to ensure data is posting correctly

  6. Turn your Zap On

Pro tips

  • Create a strong password using a random generator or allow users to reset after initial login.

  • Always test with a sample record before going live.

Troubleshooting tips

  • User not registering: Double-check that your App ID and fields are mapped correctly.

  • Duplicate users: Ensure your trigger isn’t firing multiple times for the same entry.
